The Eldar Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Eldar   The Eldar EmptyFri Nov 23, 2007 10:55 pm

Warhost Il’Thanash.
The Eldar K_ali_10

Player: Imrix
Points in passive reserve: 12,000
Points in active reserve: 861 + 11 (starport) + 150 (Promethium)

Commander: Seerlord Thanash’Thar (Eldrad stats)

A gifted indidividual, Thanash’Thar has a healthy respect for his betters and has spent time learning under dozens of powerful Farseers, including the mourned Eldrad. Though a mighty individual firmly treading the Path of the Seer, Thanash’Thar still remember his days as an Autarch and maintains a record of carefully-considered deployment that has turned the tides of many battles.

Armies.
397 points organized into Gladefall scouthost.

Prelimanary expeditions fielded by Thanash’Thar to quickly seize an early advantage, scouthosts are temporary units banded together out of necessity. Gladefall is no exception. En route to reclaim the lost webway, Gladefall has met up with the remnants of the warriors assigned to defend it.

10 Dire Avengers, Exarch with Bladestorm and twinned Shuriken Catapaults. 152 points.

7 Howling Banshees, Exarch with Mirrorblades, 134 points.

2 Swooping Hawks, Exarch with Skyleap, 111 points.

Location: 8,27.

152 points organized into Glintfire scouthost.

Like Gladefall, the Glintfire scouthost is a temporary grouping of squads tasked with seizing early resources. Recently, the host has been tasked with overseeing a portion of the Eldar lands, stopping the Necrons from bursting into the Eldar rear-field and leaving troops to maintain control of the first spaceport.

10 Dire Avengers, Exarch with bladestorm and twinned shuriken catapaults. 152 points.

149 points organized into garrison party Leafs Edge.

Originally a segment from Glintfire scouthost, Leafs Edge was split off in order to maintain control of the spaceport while the main host set up watch over a Necron tomb entrance.

7 Striking Scorpions, Exarch with Chainsabres, Shadowstrike. 149 points.

Location: 12,23

301 points.

Support group Moonlights Edge.

Mindful of the danger a fast-moving but lightly equipped scouting force might encounter, Thanash'Thar organized a temporary group of forces into a support host to lend aid to those in danger of heavy assault.

Ten Guardians with an Eldar missile launcher platform. 100 points.

Ten Guardians with an Eldar missile launcher platform. 100 points.

One War Walkers with twinned scatter lasers. 60 points.

One War Walkers with twinned scatter lasers. 60 points.

One War Walkers with twinned scatter lasers. 60 points.

380 points.

Location: 8,27

Eyes of the Crone scouting party. -Scattered to the four winds-

Location: 9,23

Strike-host Seranniel (purchased with points from the Starport)

With the Webway denied to him, Thanash'Thar has mustered a host mounted in Wave Serpents to travel quickly to the Spaceport, before the Mon-Keigh have time to dig in around it.

Farseer with Runes of Witnessing, Spirit Stones, Fortune and Guide. 125 points.

A trusted member of Thanash’Thars council of adepts, Khaa-Soln is a Farseer of moderate skill entrusted with the task of taking the spaceport in the face of enemy opposition, then supporting the Eldar troops that will follow.

Ten Dire Avengers, Exarch with Bladestorm & twinned catapaults in Wave Serpent with Spirit Stones, twin-linked shuriken cannon and underslung shuriken cannon. 272 points.

Fittingly for his force, Khaa-Soln has been entrusted with Dire Avengers of the Sea Knights shrine who are usually known for protecting the orbital battlecraft of the Eldar, making them accustomed to defending prepared areas from foes in confined spaces. They’re deployment in Wave Serpents is unusual for them, but time is of the essence.

Ten Dire Avengers, Exarch with Bladestorm & twinned catapaults in Wave Serpent with Spirit Stones, twin-linked shuriken cannon and underslung shuriken cannon. 272 points.

A second group of Sea Knights deployed in Wave Serpents, this group is more used to fighting from the hold of a transport, they have been fully informed of what is expected of them and are prepared to secure the port.

Fire Prism with Holo-fields and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

Tasked with supporting the Avengers, the heavy firepower of Fire Prism tanks has been called for and the Gleam of Starlight answered, lending support to the strike force.

Fire Prism with Holo-fields and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

Along with the Gleam of Starlight, the Light of the Banshee’s Blade answere Thanash’Thars call for heavy firepower in taking the spaceport, bringing a seasoned crew and a sharp eye to the force.

989

Location: 10,23.

Warhost Syre’Alla’Shar, “the First and Final Blow”.

Infuriated by the presumptions of the Humans to hinder him, Thanash’Thar has accelerated his landings and moved his plans forward, beginning heavy landings far earlier in the campaign than might otherwise be wise.

In the past, Syre’Alla’Shar has always operated by accompanying one Titan with a pair of Fire Prism tanks in a support role, and a distinct lack of infantry support. This has lead to a fast, hard-hitting formation capable of crippling, if not utterly obliterating, any target.

Revenant Titan. 800 points.

“The Grace of Starlight”, a Revenant scout-titan known for moving with unsurpassed grace and elegance, even among Eldar. The Grace was responsible for seven confirmed kills against Human super-heavy targets during the Shayadis campaign, weaving between turbolaser beams and volleys of cannon fire like a dancer on the stage.

Lailays, the pilot, origin has never been clear to any but her sibling– some say she turned to the pilots Path from that of a Banshee, others say she was a Harlequin. Whatever the case, her skills as a pilot are backed by a fearsome aim, and many a foe of the Eldar has fallen beneath the ravening beam of the Grace’s pulsars.

Fire Prism with Holo-Field and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

“The Shining Example”, an Eldar vehicle crewed by a pair of Eldar generally viewed as arrogant and cold to their fellow pilots. Perhaps their manner is earned however, for their marksmanship is impeccable and some even say their vehicles targeting equipment has been stripped out, the gunner unwilling to hinder his aim with mere computers.

Fire Prism with Holo-Field and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

“Angel’s Angel” is a Fire Prism that was once responsible for escorting the noted Spiritseer Iyanna Ariennal from the vile hordes of Tyranid bio-constructs in the thick of combat, fighting a running battle to flee the chittering hordes with thei wounded Iyanna safely aboard. Ever since, the vehicle has worn the symbol of Iyanden set in front of a depiction of an angels wingbelow the Ulthwe rune, in honour of the achievement.

Revenant Titan. 800 points.

“Legions End” is a grim, foreboding prospect for many Eldar, one of the mighty Wraith-Titans maintained out of necessity. If the construction of Wraithguard and Wraithlords is necromancy, then constructions such as Legions End are at once abominations and revered relics. Powered by the spirit-pool of the mightiest Eldar heroes, the Wraith-Titan is skilled in a way no mortal warrior can be, and the record of Legions End reflects that.

On Shayadis, fighting alongside the Grace of Starlight, Legions End accounted for five human super-heavy targets as well as entire formations of minor troops, and for atomising the head section of the Warlord Titan Herald of Terra.

On Tarna, Legions acocunted for a total of three hundred and seventeen ground-based Ork installations, striking at seemingly random places around the planet from the heavy cloud cover, emerging like some god from the mists, raining destruction on the greenskins.

Usually, the spirit-pool of the Wraith-Titan is referred to by the name of its titan-‘shell’, but on the rare occasions when a true name is called for the combined mind answers to Sil’Tharran’Tar.

Fire Prism with Holo-Field and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

Once, in ages past, a young Warlock who had a great destiny of the betterment of the Eldar laid in front of her, travelled with a bodyguard of Alaitoc Pathfinders, the finest of their kind, through hostile territory. By one slip of footing, their position was uncovered by Orks and the Eldar died to a one, the brightness of Arellions destiny forever lost to an Orkish blade. Except it was not, for the seers of Ulthwe had foreseen it and as the Orks roused themselves to feast on the meat of Arellion and her bodyguards, a great blast of multi-faceted light ripped them to pieces, heralding the timely arrival of the Fire Prism that would become known as “the Guardian of Bright Hopes”.

Fire Prism with Holo-Field and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

“The Ghost of Dawn” is a vehicle crewed entirely by the souls of the dead, spirit stones bearing the souls of mighty warriors integrated directly into the control mechanisms of the crafts Wraithbone hull. The dead crew have served for thousands of years, but have always remembered their demand to be consigned to such a fate after being slain in their seats by a Champion of Khorne who hauled himself up from his chainsword after lodging it into the side of their vehicle as it hurtled by.

Revenant Titan. 800 points.

Many Revenant Titans operate in pairs, of which the pilots are usually siblings, and Sorliel of the “Glare of the Sun” is no exception. While his sister, Lailays of the Grace of Starlight, has stepped from Path to Path in her time, Sorliel has never been anything but a titan pilot, and some wonder how he has spent so much time on the Path without becoming locked in it. In truth, he came close at one point, but just as he brought his sister onto the Path so she draws him off it.

While undoubtedly worthy to be elevated to command of a more senior titan, Sorliel still fights as a scout, mostly out of familiarity with his titan and out of a want to care for his sister than any humility.

Fire Prism with Holo-Field and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

“Flawless Ruby”, a Fire Prism only recently entered service, the crew of the Flawless Ruby is brash and bold, thought not so young as to be inexperienced or disrespectful. It will be a long time before they can speak of their own achievements with ease among their elders, but their conduct to date shows that they will likely see that day soon.

Fire Prism with Holo-Field and Spirit Stones. 160 points.

“Blossom of Incadescance”. Something odd in the construction of this vehicles Prism cannon created a minute flaw that dispersed an iota of the blasts energy. The flaw has never depreciated the blasts power, but has created wild sparks of energy careening in random directions around the blast site. Repeated requests to repair the prism have always been turned down– the gunner find it almost suiting, that the art in death be so obvious.

3060 points.

firstly, both of you are pulling points from the same passive reserve pool.

Secondly, can you take a fire prism in a combat patrol? If you can't, then you can't field an army of fewer than 400 pts. that contains one.

*Has the rulebook to check he can, indeed, take a Fire Prism into Combat Patrol*

And yes, I'm aware we're both pulling from the same reserve pool. What of it?

*EDIT* I fail at maths. AV 12 + AV 12 + AV 10 = 34. Edited the support host to be legal.

Is it me, or are we getting a lot of Eldar players?

I may be nuts, but I liked it better when we were outnumbered 2-to-1...

hmmm i agree (although im not eldar, im tau) i think three is a touch too many on one team. Or maybe limit it to no more than three.

It creates a problem. With so many armies in the same vicinity they will have to compete for the bonuses offered by the land.

We really need some other faction. Before it was too many imperials, now it would seem to be too many eldar, affraid

Who would have thought, the eldar have started to breed again, god emperor help us all Shocked

Eldar invasion lol. I though that we had too many Imperials, and now. Heh. 3 eldar players is enough, though. We should look to populate the other factions from now on.

P.S. It is OK. 3 eldar players I mea. But no more for now, please

Natlav decided to change his force to tyranids.

This is an exception, to maintain balance to some degree. If you want to change your force, please PM me and we will discuss it, since it's quite disturbing to change race. It's not impossible, though.

So long as you don't mess with the paintjob go ahead Very Happy

Now the question everybody needs to ask themselves is; Will I stop at the railway station in order to defend the relic and starport... Or will I crush you all beneath my anti-grav engines?

Well? Who feels like they can be nice enough to swing my decision?
